Sarah Longacre
LONGACRE--Sarah, 58, died of cancer September 26th, in Manhattan. A painter, photographer, and editor, she spent a life-changing summer at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and was a graduate of Bennington College and Yale Grad School. Her career included The SoHo News, Time Inc., Stewart Tabori & Chang, Random House, and Scholastic Inc. She photo edited such best sellers as "A Short Guide to a Happy Life", "Dutch", "Get Happy", and "Hilary's Choice". Sarah was a delight to all and beloved by family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Vanessa, husband Michael, brother Norman Cook, sister Ferris Cook, and parents Nancy and Topper Cook. Memorial details at sarahlongacre.com
